Resist-Ready Set Poem

We can not resist you,
Always watching,
Waiting,
Quietly,
I try and resist.
I can feel your breath on my neck.
Putrid breath engulfing me.
Icy cold fingers,
Starting to tear at my skin.

All I can say,
Is not today.
Death, I know you will come.
We cannot resist.
But today is not that day.
